This past weekend I had the privilege to attend a Master Class, by the one and only Scott Barnes. He is widely known for the famous JLo glow look that he created for Jennifer Lopez in the iconic movie Maid in Manhattan. He has been JLo’s makeup artist for some of her major events, including her 50th Birthday Tour, the Super Bowl makeup, and most of her music videos.

In this 2 day course I was able to learn first hand from Scott himself. It was a small group of 20 or so professional makeup artist that got to experience the fun and instructional live demonstration of makeup on a supermodel on Friday night. Saturday it was all about hands-on practice, he walked us step by step on his makeup application, and then we were allowed to practice on a model, so that we could learn his technique.

My model Irit, was the nicest! and we had so much fun creating her look and got her ready for the last part of the workshop, which was a photoshoot with Scott’s personal photographer. She looked beautiful and the whole experience was a dream! I was able to learn new techniques and methods of application, but beyond that, getting to experience what is like to do the full process of makeup/photoshoot with one of the world’s renown makeup artist in the planet!

Life update! I got married!! and I wanted to post a couple of pictures from our engagement session back in May. For the engagements I decided on a romantic monochromatic look, the makeup, hair and dress were blush pink and the soft waves in the hair were a great match to them!

We decided to take the pictures at Saltair just outside of Salt Lake City. It was such a beautiful evening <minus the huge mosquitos that were attacking us> nonentheless I loved the pictures. I couldn’t be happier and I was so excited to experience the whole wedding process myself. I do so many brides throughout the year, it was so exciting that I got to be the bride this time! Steve is an amazing man and I love him with all my heart, so excited for our adventures together!
